About Gary Bassett

Career

Gary Bassett built his foundation in investment banking at J.P. Morgan before co-founding Lamar National Bank as a founding shareholder and serving as President of the Lamar Bank Center. In 1985, he founded Microbank Software Inc., developing enterprise software for banking and construction sectors, which was later acquired by Citicorp. He served as Managing Director at Bank of America's investment banking division before dedicating seven years to global philanthropy and exploration across 60+ countries. Since 2012, he has served as Founder, Chairman, and Managing Partner of HP Capital Partners, an institutional hedge fund.
